Area of interest : Cooling of electronic chip in vapor chamber with micro pillars

Summary : My research topic is based on the cooling of electronic devices more effectively using phase change method of cooling. The fluid which is confined in a chamber is placed above the heat source and result in evaporation; this again comes in contact with the heat sink (atmosphere) and condenses. The microstructures arranged inside the vapor chamber helps the liquid to flow due to capillary action which acts as a pumping effect. Thereby resulting in better cooling than the device without any micro pillars.
