The group is directed by Professor Dr. Koji Sugano, who belongs to Center for Advanced Medical Engineering Research and Development, Kobe University, Japan. He is also member of Nanoelectromechanical systems Lab., Department of Mechanical Engineering, Graduate school of Engineering, Kobe University, Japan.

Our group focuses on microelectromechanical sensing devices based on plasmonic resonance of gold nanostructures. Especially, we are interested in medical applications of MEMS devices. The devices are applied to micro/nanometer scale optical sensors and bio/medical sensors. Our studies are here.
