Here is the information for fellowships that students may apply for at Okayama University:
Our institute can offer a fellowship for Ph.D. students from foreign countries. The fellowship is annual, and it can be extended for up to 3 years based on your performance assessment.
I can accept research students who have passed the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship. I can also help with your MEXT fellowship application.
Okayama University offers the OU-SPRING fellowship to Japanese and foreign students who are highly motivated and wish to engage in research activities. The amount is 2,200,000 JPY per year plus a research budget of up to 400,000 JPY. Please have a look at the link for more details (LINK).
Omoto fellowship provides 1,800,000 JPY per year for Japanese Ph. D. students.
Prof. Suga is a researcher of the JST FOREST project (from 2024), which provides a separate grant to hire two Research Associates.
