Riding the Puffer? Help us!
The D1 route (SSEN's preferred route) will damage mountain-biking and walking, impact local tourism, and kill precious local nature. Will the pylon route impact the Puffer? Yes! But it's too early to know how badly.

Shocked to hear the #mtb trails at Contin Woods are under threat from @ssencommunity mega pylons
I say NOtoD1 and YES to a #bettercableroute

Pylon routes
The interactive map shows various route options imposed by SSEN.
D1 is SSEN's preferred option. D1 destroys part of Contin Woods and many of the mtb trails. Say #NOtoD1 and YES to a #bettercableroute
Following a hard fought campaign SSEN proposed an alternative D1.3 although D1 remains their first choice.
The community has demonstrated alternative routes, such as Route X, are possible, which would avoid our precious bike trails.
Our preference remains undersea cables or the use of existing pylon corridors.
