Katie is a very accomplished boxer. Below is a five minutes with Katie Ryan.


What do you see yourself accomplishing in five to 10 years?

I see myself accomplishing more than one all Ireland.


Are there any short-term goals you'd like to accomplish in the next few months to a couple of years?

To win my fight in Kildare.


What do you believe to be one of your weaknesses and what are you doing to improve it?

Dropping my guard, I am trying to improve this in training.


Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of sports?

I love doing cross country running with my friend Emmie.


What strengths do you believe you have that make you a great athlete?

I believe I have a very good mind set towards boxing.


Which sport is your favourite to play and why?

Boxing because its a good way to let out your anger and to meet new friends.


Why are you so passionate about playing sports?

I feel like it's a good way to spend my time and meet new people.


Is there a coach or athlete that you look up to as a role model and why?

I look up to Abbie Gill Cusk  because I think she is a good boxer.
