Welcome to St Paul's Chronicle!
St Paul's Chronicle is the student led website, ran by the students, for the students! It focuses more on the students news rather then the whole school news! We have got a great, new team for the school year 2024/5 and we are so happy to have them aboard! Hope you enjoy my little passion project as much as I do🫶🏻 - Faye Mahony, Current Co-Chairperson of Chronicle

St Paul's Successful Open Night!
St Paul's had a very successful open night this year. We showcased the academic side of the school, as well as all other aspects of St Paul's. Chronicle got the chance to be showcased at the open night. Our Co-Chairperson Faye Mahony and Co-Technial Manager Samuel Cunningham repersented the website, and talked to incoming First Years about the founding of the website and the making of the YMCA video. Nathan Harrison, one of our Alternate Mangement repersented Computer Science, in the same room. Chronicle was lucky enough to share space with the insanely taleneted members of the Coding Club, who could give us a deep insight into what they do. If you want to have a look at what the school did for open night, you can look at the Pictures with Credits! Congrats to everyone involved!

Some of our students participated in maths week challenges, posted on the board outside of the cafeteria. As well as the challenges put on the board, we had a maths escape room, each form group picked 4 students to attend this challenge, which was a huge success. The winners of the challenges were Mia McQuillen, Michael Bowden, Ella Byrne and Penny Chadwick. Congrats to all!
Opening of school mass
Students and staff of St Paul’s attended a beginning of the school year mass on Friday 4th Oct. The mass was celebrated by Fr Liam Merrigan in the Church of St Peter and St Paul. St Paul’s Choir, Band and Trad Group provided the music for the ceremony and the school community was very fortunate to have the social media star Fabu D attend as a guest speaker – his humour, words and advice were a great addition to the occasion. The mass was a lovely way to kick off the year, taking a moment to reflect on all our own individual intentions and as a community. A big thank you has to be extended to our very own 6th Year Student Rachel Farrell, who took the lead in designing and coordinating the liturgy for the mass as part of her Papal Cross Award. Thank you also to Fr Merrigan for his time and commitment and to Fabu D (Black Paddy!) for sharing his inspirational voice and lightening the mood with his humour. Last but not least, a huge thank you to all the students and staff of St Paul’s who helped to make the mass such a success!
YMCA introduction video!
We have finally gotten around to making our introduction video, and while we were at it, we decided to ask the whole school to join us! We want to thank everyone's help in making the video, because we know we had fun. Try spot some of your teachers, or even a very familiar face at the end!
The Minster for Education visit
The Minster for Education, Norma Foley came to our school, it was a great day for the school.
Ms Foley got a guard of honour from last year's student council, our 6th years and our prefects. Some of our students wore the new blazer.
She gave a speech to our first years, and she went around to our practical classes and our students showed her just what St Paul's is about!! Well done to all!
