On Thursday 4th and Friday 5th September, St. Paul’s celebrated a vibrant and successful Student Wellbeing & Participation Fair that showcased the best of student voice and participation. This event was a true celebration of student voice, belonging, and community in our school.
Across the day, over 43 student group stalls were led by our dedicated student representatives. Each group brought their stall to life by showcasing activities and demonstrations, running competitions, sharing information, answering questions, and encouraging new members to get involved, all while highlighting the many opportunities open to students in school life.
A big thank you to all of our student group leaders who guided, encouraged, and supported their fellow students throughout the preparation and running of the Wellbeing & Participation Fair.
Through their participation, student representatives not only promoted their groups but also developed and demonstrated a wide range of valuable skills:
Leadership & teamwork in planning and managing stalls
Communication & presentation when welcoming and engaging with students
Creativity & problem-solving in designing displays and interactive activities
Organisation & responsibility in preparing resources and coordinating their peers
We are incredibly proud of the hard work, energy, and commitment shown by all our student representatives. The fair created a real sense of belonging, while also encouraging students across the school to connect, join new groups, and take part in shaping school life. It was inspiring to see so many students connect with groups that interest them, and we look forward to welcoming lots of new members who signed up on the day!
Students were thrilled to meet our new Buzzard mascot, who brought so much fun and lively energy to the Fair over the two days! The excitement doesn’t stop here - keep your eyes open for Buzzard's new name, coming soon!
Lastly, a special thank you to Mr. Martin, our Lead Coordinator, and Ms. Murray, our Deputy Coordinator, for their dedication in organising the fair and for mentoring our students and leaders every step of the way.
Well done to all!!
