GAA

Training: 3rd to 6th years, train on Monday but changed to Fridays due to light. They also do strength and conditioning training before school on Friday mornings at 7.55.

Coaches: Mr. Maxwell and Mr. O'Brien

The lads have played a few games including 2 challenge games v Tullamore college (lost by 3 great games considering they are 2 divisions above us) and Pipers Hill who they bet well. In the championship, they have continued their winning streak beating Gaelcholaiste Carlow by 10. It was a great performance! Unfortunately, they lost to Mount Rath by 5 but still topped the group on score difference.

St Paul’s vs KTCS 08-12-23

On Friday the junior football team travelled to Kildare town to play their first game of the year. St Paul’s started fast with a goal inside five minutes and then kept the scores coming. At half time St Paul’s were leading 3-9 to no score. Against the wind in the second half St Paul’s knew the game wasn’t over, but early in the second Scott Lavin found himself in space and was able to get his 3rd goal of the game. KTCS was able to a few scores back but it wasn’t enough. Late in the game Daire Bannon was able to find the back of the net to bring his tally for the day to 1-4. The final score was 5-9 to 1-3 as St Paul’s walked out comfortable winners.
