The window at the top of the stairway leading to the balcony pictures verses from the great Easter Psalm 118. Bells are ringing at the top and a banner with the victorious Lamb of God waves under them. Below the banner is a rose window with a heart and cross at its center. In the area just above the open portal is an alpha and omega. Inside the doors of the church at its far end is a crucifix, the body of Jesus nailed to a cross, flanked by six candles. At the base of the window, on its left corner, is a cornerstone inscribed with the names of Jesus and Christ.
The following verses taken from Psalm 118 clarify the window’s message. It has sounds of the crucifixion and the resurrection. “Open for me the gates of righteousness. I will enter and give thanks to the Lord. I will give you thanks, for you answered me; you have become my salvation. The stone which the builders rejected has become the capstone. The Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. You are my God, and I will give you thanks; you are my God, and I will exalt you. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
