Alumni

Rachel is a senior at Newton North, and the director of the Newton Public School classroom lessons. Rachel loves spending time with kids and strives to become an elementary school teacher. She is a major in the Early Education and Care program at Newton North. She volunteers for Gateways: Access to Jewish Education, works at the Newton North Plowshares Preschool program, and loves to dance!

Samantha is a senior at Newton North High School, and the director of the Public Events Committee. Samantha really enjoys spending time with kids and majors in the Early Education and Care program at her school. She volunteers at Gateways: Access to Jewish Education, is part of the Newton North Humans Rights Council, and works at Plowshares Preschool. She also loves spending time with family and friends and dancing. 

Jennifer is a senior at Newton North and the director of the Math Tutoring committee. She loves math and takes many STEM-related classes. She aspires to have a career in STEM. In her free time, she plays the piano, plays basketball and does cross country. She works at her temple, and helps with the younger kids in Hebrew school, and she loves to spend time with her family and friends.

Elizabeth is a senior with a love of science, mathematics, and anything medically related. She is a part of the gbSTEM program, teaching elementary students math and how to code. She loves volunteering with the Watertown Boys and Girls Club and had raised over $3000 for MGH’s ER during the height of the pandemic. Besides school, she enjoys traveling with her family and creating art. 

Julia is a senior at Newton North and the director of  Math Tutoring. Julia is on both the varsity swim team and the varsity tennis team at Newton North. She enjoys coaching the disabled athletes of Athletes Unlimited, and last year she was able to attend the Special Olympics with them! She also enjoys hanging out with friends!

Jennifer is a senior at Newton North and has developed a passion for STEM since middle school. She loves teaching younger kids science and math. Apart from being in RSM since 5th grade, she is also part of the Engineering department at Newton North and is on track to getting the engineering certificate. She also helps TA Chinese classes during all her frees and can speak three different dialects of Chinese. Outside of school, she enjoys singing, playing the piano, and Chinese folk dancing.
