My nursing journey at the University of New England (UNE) has been challenging, educational but positive over all. I have formed so many frienships and have been well supported by teachers, family and friends throughout this journey. I have utilised UNE library resources and academic skills office to advance my writting and have improved overtime. All the nursing class theoreticals, practicals and clinical placements have lead me to personal growth and development.
This is a photo of me before attending the first clinical placement. I recall being so anxious and nervous about what the day ahead would bring. That day I returned to the nurses quaters with a smile on my face. I was given orientation and a discussion of what my placement would involve and we discussed about my clinical goals. For the remainder of my placement I was supported and encouraged by those I worked with and was therefore able to attain my placement goals.

The entire new graduate application process was very stressful and overwhelming. I Spent a week preparing for my interview which was scheduled for the 23/08/2019 on my 21st birthday. I found this very overwhelming as I had to contain my nerves and excitement at the same time.
I was extremely thrilled with my successful outcome. I am very excited to begin my journey with Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health early March 2020.
