Throughout my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, the main goal was to always achieve competencies and qualifications. I have been able to achieve competencies through employment by working as a personal carer at aged care facilities. As I transition into the role of a registered nurse, the aim is to practise within my scope of practise, comply to policies and guidelines in place and to mantain my capability for practise. I can maintain my capability for practise by engaging in health care practises and activities, opportunities, research and by practising within my scope of practise. I have completed clinical placements in all types of clinical environments including; aged care facilities, general medical wards, rehabilitation and community.

My final clinical placement at Sutherland Hospital will be in the Perioperative Unit. I hope to further enhance my knowledge, understanding, gain more confidence and attain new skills by the completion of this placement.
