Throughout my studies, I have come to undertstand the importance of reflecting on experiences, knowledge, feelings and actions as this can shape practise. Doing so allows individuals to provide safe and quality nursing practice within person-centred and evidence-based frameworks.
Throughout my nursing journey, debriefing and reflecting have been completed throughout the course of my nursing journey. I was required to reflect on numerous case study in relation to nursing practices. I have attached samples of my reflection requirements. Debriefing with the clinical facilitator I was assigned for the duration of my placements allowed me to openly discuss of the challenges and complications I am encountering which required a solution. This also meant together, we could work to ensure my clinical goals were met for personal development.
Many of nursing assessments over the course of my Degree have required a reflection in relation to nursing practises. Below i have attached examples of reflections from my assessments. Further reflection examples completed by me can be found in the clinical booklets located in the NCAS and NMBA Competency Links section
