Worried how the COVID-19 emergency might affect summer programming? Don't worry!
In the event social distancing is still required this summer, signed contracts can be voided.
Let's go ahead and set something up with the hopes that COVID-19 will be a distant memory!
The Three Billy Goats Gruff by Paul Galdone
(recommended for ages 3 - 7)
In this workshop we will explore small, medium, and large in our voices, bodies, and movements. Then we will make a bridge and try our luck at outsmarting the troll!
The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka
(recommended for ages 6 - 10)
We all know the story of the Three Little Pigs. But have you ever heard the Big Bad Wolf's side of the story? We will act out his version of this classic tale.
Goldilocks and the Three Bears by Paul Galdone
(recommended for ages 6 - 10)
Who's been eating my porridge? And who's been sitting in my chair? And who's been sleeping in my bed?! We'll find out as we act out his classic tale.
Rumpelstiltskin by Paul Zelinsky
(recommended for ages 6 - 9)
As we dramatize this classic fairy tale we will try our luck at spinning straw into gold. We'll make a few costume pieces to help us tell the story and then we'll have fun trying to guess Rumpelstiltskin's name.
Jack and the Beanstalk by Nosy Crow
(recommended for ages 6 - 9)
In this lighthearted re-imagination of a classic tale, we will have fun quietly exploring the giant's castle while he sleeps. Can we help all of the Giant's servants without waking the Giant up? Shhhhhh! Let's find out!
Cinderella by Russell Shorto
(recommended for ages 6 - 9)
We'll have fun acting like all the characters in this classic fairy tale: the prince, the step-sisters, the fairy god mother, and of course Cinderella. We'll make our very own "glass slippers" and will dance the night away at the royal ball.
Give us the title and we will design a creative drama workshop around it!
Constellation Myths Drama Workshop
(recommended for ages 6 - 12)
After reading a story about how a constellation came to be, we will connect the dots on “star paper” to make our very own constellation. Then, we will work in groups to make up myths about our constellations and will take turns dramatizing our stories for the group.
Fractured Fairy Tales Drama Workshop
(recommended for ages 8 - 12)
Have you ever wondered what would happen if Rapunzel had short hair? Or if Little Red Riding Hood's granny lived in the city? Or if the Big Bad Wolf was actually small and friendly? We will dramatize some of our very own re-imagined and fractured fairy tales.
Greek Mythology Drama Workshop
(recommended for ages 8 - 12)
After listening to several Greek and Roman myths, we will select our favorite and work in groups to act out one of these ancient stories.
Imagine Your Rhyme
(recommended for ages 0 - 5)
In this workshop, designed for the youngest of actors, we will dramatize classic nursery rhymes and then we'll imagine up some of our own! You've heard of Jack be Nimble? What about Sophie be Sleepy? Or Ryan be Wiggly? You've heard of the Itsy Bitsy Spider? What about the Great Big Spider? Or the Itsy Bitsy Elephant? Let's let our imagines run wild!
Jersey Devil Drama Workshop
(recommended for ages 8-12)
Some people believe the Jersey Devil is fantasy. Others believe it's real. Either way, we will put our imaginations to work as we dream up how the Jersey Devil might look, move and sound. Then, we will act out our own Jersey Devil inspired myths.
Let us know and we will design a creative drama workshop around it!
How about our Sing a Story program? This musical storytime is a perfect way to introduce creative dramatics to a crowd of multiple ages.

The Scrambled States of America Talent Show by Laurie Keller (recommended for ages 3 - 10)
Texas roller skates, Minesota does magic, Georgia juggles, and New Jersey sings. What will your talent be? In this workshop we will pick our favorite state and perform in our very own United States talent show!
