REMEMBERING YOUR LESSON TIME!
To help your child become more independent and remember their lesson time (this is not the job of the classroom teacher!) - you could try one of the following:
write the lesson time on the back of the student's hand as a visual reminder
make a little sign for the student's desk
if your child wears a watch, simply set an alarm for a few minutes before the lesson - this will allow time for them to excuse themselves from class, get their instrument and walk down.
It might be useful to set an alarm on your phone the morning of your child's lesson - that way you can remind your child about their lesson and what they need to be prepared (instrument, music folder/book, equipment, time!).

If you are going to be away from school on the day of your lesson or band please let me know by calling the school office, emailing me (susan.morris@dbb.catholic.edu.au) or sending me a quick text on 0414 522 409 - that way I can let the tutor know and they don't need to try and find students.
