PERFORMANCE: St Edward's/St Joseph's Combined Band performance with our St Patrick's Concert Band Conducted by Dr Phil Rutherford, our brass conductor and without any practice of the bands together - this is a big call for any musician let alone our Primary age musicians!
What a wonderful piece - Past Time with Good Company - also known as 'The King's Ballad' is an English folk song written by King Henry VIII in the beginning of the 16th century, shortly after his coronation.

We also got to hear what our Year 6 students will be moving onto next year in high school with the two pieces the St Edward's/St Joseph's Combined Band performed for us. There were a few high school students away which is why Mr Rutherford was playing the trumpet while conducting!

PERFORMANCE: St Pat's Father's Day Assembly WOW WOW WOW!! What a wonderful performance you put on at assembly on Friday - you should be so proud of yourselves - Mrs Harris and I certainly are. I had so many parents and staff comment on how wonderful the band sounded and how complex the music is that you performed - very impressive!!
WORKSHOP: Combined Band performance with St John the Baptist Our mini workshop and performance at school on Wednesday with band students from St John the Baptist was excellent. Fantastic sound created by such a large combined band and a great opportunity to play with other students and be conducted by Dr Phil Rutherford. Congratulations to all involved. WORKSHOP: St Joseph's High School Band The band from St Joseph's High School visited St Patrick's to learn and perform 'Shake It Off' with our Concert Band students. This was a wonderful opportunity for collaboration and really challenged our young musicians learning and performing a piece in such a short time. They stepped up to the challenge and performed really well for our audience - well done to all involved!

PERFORMANCE @ Evergreen Life Care and Imperial Shopping Centre: What a day! We are so proud of how all the students performed and helped out on the day with equipment and logistics!

WORKSHOP with the Concert Band from St Johns (Woy Woy): Well done to everyone involved in the performance last week with the St John's band! Wonderful to see you all enjoying yourself and playing 'The Incredibles' and 'Funky Town' under the conducting of Mr Phillip Rutherford - a little faster than we have been playing it in band and you held your own which was fantastic - be proud!

2018 AMEB 'ONLINE ORCHESTRA'
The AMEB Online Orchestra has now been 'compiled' and it is wonderful to watch and see all the different contributors from across Australia, from many different places!
