Interested in joining the school band in 2021?
We are currently working with the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music to work out our band arrangements for 2021. 2021 Schools Program Info Sheet - Catholic Schools
St Patrick's works in partnership with the Conservatorium to facilitate our School Band Program. The Conservatorium provides expert tuition, program administration and instrument hire and St Patrick's provides coordination of school facilities and programs, communications with families and facilitation with students.

NEW BAND MEMBERS - The Training Band
During Term 4 and the first few weeks of Term 1 we actively recruit and welcome members into our School Training Band - students generally spend a full year in Training Band learning how to play their chosen instrument, music notation and concepts and how to play together in a band setting.
BAND REHEARSAL is on a Tuesday morning before school starting at 7:45am in the Primary Music Room.

Once students have been playing in Training Band for one school year, they move into our School Concert Band where they work together playing more complex pieces.

LESSONS
LESSONS
Each week students are involved in a small group instrument tutorial (30 minutes) focusing specifically on the instrument they are learning and at their level. They are also involved in a weekly Band Rehearsal session (60 minutes) before school with the whole band learning together.
INSTRUMENTS
INSTRUMENTS
There are a number of instruments on offer through our School Band Program:
Woodwind instruments: flute, clarinet and alto saxophone
Brass instruments: trumpet, trombone, euphonium and tuba
Percussion: drums and melodic instruments [must have a drum kit at home to practice!]
