We invite submissions of theoretical and empirical papers in all areas of social choice theory and welfare economics. Contributions from related disciplines, including computer science, philosophy, political science, and others, are warmly welcome.
Full papers or extended abstracts should be submitted through the paper submission page on this website, which will open on January 1, 2026.
Both full papers and extended abstracts are welcome. If the number of submissions is high, full papers may receive priority in the review process.
Authors wishing to be considered for the Young Scholar Paper Awards must submit full papers. See below for details.
There is no limit on the number of submissions per author; however, each participant may present only one paper during the conference.
Submission deadline: February 8, 2026.
Notification of acceptance: March 15, 2026.

The Society for Social Choice and Welfare (SSCW) will present Young Scholar Paper Awards to recognize outstanding papers authored and presented by young researchers within five years of their PhD defense or currently enrolled in a PhD program, based on papers presented in the contributed sessions of SSCW 2026.
For co-authored papers, all co-authors must meet this eligibility criterion; i.e., each must be within five years of their PhD defense or currently enrolled in a PhD program.
We warmly encourage submissions from early-career scholars.
