Q: What is your job description and title?
A: My role as a real estate attorney includes the tasks of managing land contract litigation and fulfilling the lawful responsibilities of environmental commerce.
Q: How do you use what you learned in your major in performing your job?
A: My course of study has imparted the discipline of critical thinking and problem solving which accompanied my study of the law perfectly. both of these factors have served as the foundation on which I have built my career and profession as a practicing attorney.
Q: Do you use technology such as computers, PDAs, cell phones, etc. in your day-to-day work? If so, what applications/programs do you use? How do computers make your job easier? If not, do you see a way that technology could be useful? Are there any tasks that you perform that you would be interested in automating or giving to a computer to do?
A: Yes! My occupation requires me to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and virtual meeting platforms such as Teams and Zoom. Computers ease the processes associated with filing and organization. The most tedious task within my profession is proof-reading, revising, and editing litigatory contracts. If that responsibility were given to a computer, it would aid in the proficiency and efficiency of my daily and weekly work.
Q: What do you think the industry will be like for me in four years? Will technology play a
larger role than it does today? In what way?
A: I believe my work will include more technological advancements in the years to come. The role of technology will certainly increase and possibly encompass advancements within substations and solar farming domains.
