What is "mindfulness"?
Definition: Mindfulness is being aware of the present moment and paying attention to what's happening around you and what you are feeling so that you can better handle your emotions.
Why is it good?
There are many benefits such as being able to calm yourself down during stressful times and focus better. Read more here.
Mindful Activities:
Take 5 deep breaths
Feel the weather and notice how it feels on your skin. You can try this in your backyard, porch, or even outside your front door
Writing: try journaling and write out your feelings of the day, what you did today or anything at all, write a poem, write a story, write a letter to someone, write a list of goals you have, write down a list of what you're grateful for
Listen to music
Listen to the birds outside
Create art: try doodling, coloring, or drawing
Get into a new hobby
Read a book
