Earn Hallows

Hallows are the currency used by You in the Hollow, you can use this currency to purchase MYO Slot and Upgrade Charms from The Charm Shop. If you're unsure how many Hallows you have, you can also check your balance in the Hollow'ven Bank. Bank accounts are automatically opened the first time you participate in the actions that earn you Hallows. The easiest way to earn Hallows is by making Gift art and participating in Prompts.

If you're interested in earning Hallows, the easiest place to participate is in our Discord Server,
but you can also participate on deviantArt by submitting to the correct folders.

GIFT ART

RULES

• Each member may earn up to 10 Hallows per month through gift art rewards.

• You are welcome to submit more after you have reached this limit, but you will not earn Hallows.

• In order to submit gift art, you do not need to own a spectrel, but you must be either a member of the DeviantArt group or the Spectrel Discord. Although not required, Discord is the easiest place to find people to make art for and receive giftarts

• "Gift Art" is defined as art you have drawn or literature you have written for a Spectrel that does not belong to you. You may not make gift art for a spectrel that you own.

• You must obtain permission to draw someone else's spectrel or use the "Spectrel-References" channel on discord to gift art recipients.

• You may also draw gift art for any spectrels that don't have an owner yet, such as unsold auctions and flatsales, and DTAs and raffles.

• NPC spectrels are not eligible for gift art rewards.

• Gift art may not use a base, and must be entirely of your own creation.

• Gift art may be completed either digitally or traditionally, but must be colored and/or shaded (so not just a sketch or lineart).

• Gift art does not have to be "fullbody" in nature but you must be able to recognize the Spectrel within the image and will be subjected tot he tiered reward system.

• Written entries are also allowed, and must be at least 500 words.

• Gift art may not be used as monthly prompt entries, and vice versa.

• Commissioned art and requests do not count as gift art.

GIFT ART REWARDS

Drawn Art:

• Headshots/Busts (Chest to Face) earns you 1 Hallow

• Halfbodys (Knees to Hips) earns you 2 Hallows

• Fullbodys (Head to Toe) earns you 3 Hallows

• Background: +1 Hallow (Colour Blocks/ Patterns do not count)

• Additional Spectrels: +100% Earnings (Example: 2 Fullbody Spectrels with no bg would earn you 6 Hallows)

Written Art:

• Base Reward: +2 Hallows (500 words)

• Background: +2 Hallow (1500 words)

PERSONAL ART

RULES

• You may earn up to 5 Hallows per month with personal art

• You are welcome to create more but it will not earn you hallows

• Old art will not be counted, the art must be new/current and made for this purpose, or submitted as you've drawn it

• The Spectrels you can draw must be owned by you!

• NPCs are not eligible for Personal Art Rewards

• Personal Art may not use a base and must be entirely of your own creation

• Initial MYO creation images do not count for rewards.

• Personal Art may be completed digitally or traditionally and must be at least flat coloured OR shaded.

• Written entries are also allowed started at 500 words

• Personal art may not be used as a prompt entry and vice versa

• Commissioned art and requests do not count as personal art.

PERSONAL ART REWARDS

Drawn Art:

• 1 Hallows for Headshots or Busts (Chest to Face)

• 2 Hallows for Halfbodys (Knees to Hips)

• 3 Hallows for Fullbodys

• Additional Spectrels: +100% earnings (Example: 2 Fullbody no BG Spectrels would earn you 5 Hallows (Usually this would be 6, but 5 is the cap here for personal earnings)

• Background: +2 Hallow (Blocks of colour, simple patterns do not count)

Written Art:

• Base Reward: +2 Hallows (500 words)

• Background: +2 Hallow (1500 words)

PROMPTS

RULES

• Prompt entries must be submit to #monthly-prompts on Discord or to the DA Prompt Folder or both.

• You may draw your own Spectrel or another user's Spectrel with permission, or the NPCs

• Prompts can be digital or traditional but must be flat coloured and/or shaded

• Background bonus do not include colour block or pattern

• Written entries allowed minimum 800 words.

• Background Bonus for written entries comes with 1500 words.

• Rewards are handed out at the end of the month.

• 1 Charm is raffled amongst all entrants, additional 1 Charm per 10 entries

PROMPT & DESIGN SUGGESTIONS

INFO

• These suggestions are meant to help the staff create monthly prompts and the discord free raffle designs. You may make as many suggestions as you like but please try not to flood the Form with responses!

• Prompts: The suggestion can be somewhat detailed so that we can make a description suitable for the prompt. You can either write out a vague suggestion OR you can write a full blown prompt, though keep in mind moderators will likely modify it to fit with the usual format of our prompts.

• Design: The design suggestion can be a couple words to describe a theme, or even be a bit more detailed to describe a specific subspecies or with info on a specific trait ect. Simple Example "Chocolate Milk Bunny" Please note that this shouldn't be so descriptive that there are multiple upon multiple details we might miss but suggesting a trait or two is fine!

REWARDS

• If your suggestion is chosen you will receive 4 hallows as compensation and recognition in the prompt or raffle section upon release!
