See above a couple of photos of the entire tour group, a lovely collection of folks who we were lucky enough to share this adventure with. We will always be grateful for the time we had together in Spain and the Rick Steves My Way Tour with the best tour guide out there, Rich! It was truly the adventure of a lifetime, perfect for exploring Spain just as we wanted. For more information about this tour, see https://www.ricksteves.com/tours/spain/vacation-package
Camille is a 19 year old student at the University of Montana in Missoula. She was raised in Boise, Idaho, and has been traveling her whole life. She started studying Spanish in High School and took to it quickly, becoming proficient by the time she started University. She also started learning French and Irish, and plans to continue expanding her knowledge with her degree in World Languages and Cultures. She has always wanted to visit Spain, but it became an especially prevalent goal after several school projects and activities focused on the country.
Nancy is Camille's Grandmother, and she is from Everett, Washington. They have traveled together with the rest of the family before, this was their first time traveling just the two of them. The Rick Steves My Way tour was a very helpful guide for the duo! Nancy loves traveling the world, and she has been just about everywhere. While she continues to visit new places, she very much enjoyed going back to Spain with Camille, as it let her see everything in a new light. Also, the last time she was in Barcelona, she broke her nose! It's only fair that she got a second chance at a great experience in Spain.
Camille and Nancy have always been close. Camille and her siblings grew up visiting Nancy in Everett and camping with their extended family in the summers, and Nancy came to visit the family in Boise several times each year. They have good memories of baking molasses cookies at Halloween, picking berries in the summer, playing in the snow, and running around Nancy's garden. Camille remembers going to Mukilteo beach, collecting rocks, counting train cars from the playground, and taking the ferry back and forth. It meant a lot to both Nancy and Camille that they could spend time together and make new memories on this unforgettable trip through Spain.
