The next stop on our journey was Sevilla. After the quiet of Ronda, the city felt quite big, but it was an adventure that we took on with gusto. Our tour guide, Rich, organized a group outing to a flamenco music and dancing show, which was a highlight of the city (top left and right photos). We spent some time walking around and taking in the historical buildings and definitive white walls at each turn (bottom left photo). While in Sevilla, we explored the Royal Alcázar, finding the blend of Moorish and Roman architecture stunning (bottom right photo). We also found a nice spot to cool down in the gardens where there was a small tunnel underground (bottom middle photo).
The gardens behind the Royal Alcázar were impressive and calming, making us feel like we were suddently transported away from the city. There were beautiful flowers and greenery everywhere, and several types of trees we had never seen before. There was also a lot of wildlife in the gardens, including peacocks, of which many showed off their bright feathers. Camille had never seen a peacock in real life before, much less gotten to walk by them as though they were pigeons! There were plenty of musicians busking throughout the area closer to the road, creating a nice transition back into the bustling city.
