During Media Center Orientation, all students are informed of library policies, procedures, upcoming events, hours of operation, and resources.
All of this information is also available on the Media Center Webpage.
All of our tables and computer stations are wheel-chair accessible.
Our students with 504 plans and IEP's along with any reading deficiency have access to Learning Ally that provides them with thousands of audio books. Those students and all of our other students (and staff members) all also have access to Sora and Overdrive where they can read eBooks and audio books. These books can have the print enlarged, the language translated, and the audio sped up or slowed down.
We have copies of our most popular titles printed in large print format for students who may need that.
Our Gale databases translate into several other languages, can change print size, can change Lexile levels, and will read to the students.
We have dictionaries and titles in other languages for our ELL students and families.
We have a Q-Ball throw-able microphone that connects via blue-tooth to the speakers for students with auditory issues.
We also have a C-Pen Reader pen available for checkout that reads text aloud, stores text, and looks up and explains words in high tier dictionaries. It also translates languages.
