The library media program and its initiatives are promoted throughout the learning community

To promote library initiatives Mrs. Friday

• meets with administrators weekly and includes administrators in all library activities
• took Principal to FAME Conference to help him better understand what our school media program should look like and to help him see how our program shines
• provides 9 weeks statistics to District Library Media Resource teacher, Trish Ely, and to admin team
• provides semester and full school year data to staff, administration, and district personnel
• provides regular library updates at monthly faculty meetings and School Advisory Council meetings
• provides regular library updates for school newsletter
• runs the school Facebook page and keeps regular library updates posted
• has started an Instagram page to meet students where they are to share information, promote library initiatives, and celebrate student success
• involves parent volunteers to update bulletin boards and displays, volunteer at author visits/book fairs/events, and help with our 20 Book Challenge school-wide reading initiative which is part of the School Improvement Plan
• works with the Port Malabar Public Library and local businesses to provide resources to our students and families and keep them updated with school and Media Center happenings.

Yearly stats sent to administration, faculty, district leadership, and posted on the school website, newsletter, and school Facebook page.
