What a terrific trip! I incurred no injuries and the motorbike incurred no damage or mechanical issues. The rear tyre needed replacement as it had reached end-of-life.
While I did my own laundry every 2nd day, I sent the large bulky items like jacket, jeans, towel and sleeping bag liner sheet into a laundry.
LAUNDRY: The red bag in the photo is the washing machine. I put in water, washing power and laundry items and then strap the bag to the bike. The riding does the hard work and all I need to do is rinse the laundry.
I came-in under my planned budget, however I did not manage to achieve a gravel road ratio of 75%.
The key to this trip was careful planning and timing to ensure the least chance of rain on route.
