The professional practice I chose here to highlight comes from my time as a NODA intern at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) in Boston, MA. For just shy of three months, I worked in the Center for Campus Life (CCL) and directly with the Orientation team and programs. My internship was defined by three distinctive projects: orientation leader training and orientation programs, planning the orientation leader banquet, and planning the annual MCPHS five-day Welcome Week. With no experience in Orientation and a flight back to Illinois before the Welcome Week even started, my supervisors at the CCL entrusted the planning process with me which gave me tremendous room to garner new skills, experiences, and knowledge.

My summer started by jumping straight into Orientation Leader training and preparation for the upcoming orientation days. The following photos are from a collection of the orientation training, orientation events, and the orientation leader end-of-year banquet. The photos are a collection from the MCPHS campus photographer as well as myself.
This is the conflict management training that I presented to the Orientation Leaders during training. This training highlighted my experience of working through different conflicts, different solutions to conflicts, and a couple of scenario questions that they had to answer in groups.
The following is a collection of photos from the 2025 Welcome Week Kickoff event. With this annual event being one of the largest of the year, much of my planning, time, and budget went to ensuring the kickoff event had something for everyone. I ensured this kickoff event featured several activities including minute-to-win-it games, several crafts, face & body painting, lawn games, music, and food trucks. All photos were taken by the MCPHS campus photographer.
The following photos include the 2025 Welcome Week schedule I created, the flyers for each event hosted, as well as some photos from the events. I planned each of these events with feedback from the Orientation Team Leads and my supervisor to ensure there was both MCPHS student voices and a professional opinion involved in the decisions I was making for a student population I did not personally work with.
