I considered the mouse to be less anxious if it's in the middle and more anxious if it's around the edge/wall. If the mouse stayed close to the wall or ran in circles next to it, I would time it until it moved away from the wall. Likewise, anytime the mouse would enter and stay in the middle it timed it. If the mouse briefly crossed over to another section of the wall, I mark it down. When the mouse was along the wall it earned a positive point for each 5 second interval. 1-5 seconds was +1, 5-10 would be +2, 10-15 would be +3 etc. When the mouse was in the middle it earned a negative number for every 5 seconds. 1-5 seconds was a score of -1, 5-10 would be -2 etc. Crossing over was considered -1.

Based off the points, the mouse in the second video was the most anxious because it stayed along the wall the most and it crossed over the least.Â
