1) I observed how many times my roommate talked to her fish Lola while she was cleaning the tank.
2) Talking to the fish includes phrases such as "Lola eat your food", "Lola", "Lola are you stressed", and "Lola are you hiding". This did not include talking to other people about her fish or just looking at the tank.
3) I picked partial interval coding and I chose to do four-minute intervals.
4) Behavioral Data above
5) The strengths of this where I knew she would talk to her fish because she talks to Lola as a reflex when handling her. Picking partial interval coding was a strength because I only had to wait for her to speak. A weakness of this method is that I do not know how many times she spoke to her fish exactly because partial interval coding is not as involved. I also do not know what time she spoke to the fish.
