Volunteer LEVELS

Team Lead

• Usually an appointed Staff Member ... but we are still looking for a couple more
• Responsible for a specific assigned area (see Volunteers TEAMS for more info)
• Will coordinate and supervise their team members:
  • Task Assignments
  • Shifts/Hours
• Will notify Volunteer Coordinator in advance of any holes in the scheduling so FLOATERS can be assigned
• Responsible for training their Team during Volunteer Orientation/Training
• Volunteer Hours Required: entire event

Team Lead Assistants (optional)

• Can be assigned by the Team Lead for a specific area if the Team Lead wants to delegate (such as Hospitality Assistant over the kitchen)
• MUST attend Volunteer Orientation/Training
• Shift/Task assignment and Supervision to be handled by: TEAM LEAD
• Volunteer Hours: to be set by the Team Lead, sometimes for the entire event

Team Members

• MUST attend Volunteer Orientation/Training
• Shift/Task assignment and Supervision to be handled by: TEAM LEAD
• Volunteer Hours: to be set by the Team Lead depending on the tasks & Team requirements
• minimum hrs: 6 +attend Orientation (some Teams will require more hours)

Floaters

• Does NOT have to attend training
• Shift/Task assignment and Supervision to be handled by: Volunteer Coordinator
• Will only be given a choice of tasks, when they arrive for their assigned shift, based on the priority of the tasks that need to be done at that time
• Some of your required hours could be done during set-up on Friday (Volunteer Coordinator approval required)
• Volunteer Hours: 10

Non-EventDay Volunteers

• Do all their hours at WORK WEEKENDS
  • Answer directly to Shane
  • Hours are tracked by Shane
  • List of these people will need to be given to Volunteer Coordinator so they do NOT get listed as Floaters nor scheduled hours --- If you are a Non-EventDay Volunteer and wish to ALSO be an EventDay Volunteer please indicate your level of interest on the online Volunteer Registration.

STAFF

We still have a couple of Staff positions that need filled

• Sponsorship Coordinator
• Volunteer Recruiter/Asst. Volunteer Coordinator
• … and probably several more
