Week 8 (2nd – 3rd September 2020)
Hi everyone,
Welcome to online learning 😊
This week our main concern is ensuring everyone is okay. We are here to help you through this difficult situation. We are going to start both weeks off with Team meetings for each class. These meetings are not compulsory, but we would love to see everyone’s smiley faces.
Our meeting times this week are as follows:
· 3W: 9am on Wednesday the 2nd of September
· 3R: 10am on Wednesday the 2nd of September
To log into these team meetings, ensure that you have logged into your school emails, and have opened the TEAMS section of your office.com login. A meeting will show up in our team: Staines MC Yr 3 Classroom. Once you are in the team, click on the ‘posts’ section. Your teacher will start a meeting, that you will be able to join. Please ensure you have your microphone on mute when you join the meeting.
In addition to our meetings, we have outlined some school work for you to complete (please see below). However, if for any reason this is too difficult to complete during this time, please email your teacher to let us know.
We pray that your week runs as smoothly as possible.
God bless,
Mrs Walsh, Mrs Rogers and Miss Bonita

Last week we started our Humanities assessments. You were creating a video or a PowerPoint presentation about a new rule that you would like to create to stop bullying or racism in a school. You are welcome to continue finishing this if you want to. However, please know that this work is optional and definitely not compulsory.
A few weeks ago we went on an expedition to observe kangaroos to decide if they were living or non living. Using MRS GREN, we decided that they were actually living! Use the Little Explorer’s Sheet* to go on your own expedition to decide if something else is living or non living. Some ideas are: your pet, family member, water bottle, insect, ball, fan, bird etc.
Please send me your booklet once you have finished 😊 I am looking forward to reading what you have discovered Little Explorer!
