What is Heaven like?

•  Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth.

• Genesis 1:14-17- 2nd Heaven

• 1 Kings 8:30 - God dwells there.

• Psalm 46:4 - There is a river in Heaven that makes the city happy and God lives there.

• Isaiah 55:10-11 - 1st Heaven.

• Matthew 18:10 - Angels live there.

• Matthew 2:30 - There is no marriage in Heaven.

• Matthew 5:11-12 - There will be rewards in Heaven.

• Matthew 19:14 - Heaven belongs to children.
  But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” 

• Luke 15:7-10 - There is joy in Heaven.

• Luke 22:36 - There is no death in Heaven.

• Luke 16: 19-25 - There is peace in Heaven.

• John 14:2 - God is preparing a home for you in Heaven.

• John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." 

• Acts 1:10-11 - Looking up is looking towards Heaven. Jesus will one day come back from Heaven.

• 2 Corinthians 12:2 - There are 3 different parts of Heaven.

• 2 Corinthians 12:2-4 - 3rd Heaven 

• 2 Corinthians 5:1 - God has built us a house.

• Phillipians 3:20-21 - Our home is in Heaven. He will transform/ change our bodies to be like God's glorious body. 

• 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 - God will come down from Heaven with a shout and the sound of a trumpet. Dead people will go up to God first. People who are alive will meet up with them in the clouds. Then we will always be with God. 

• Hebrews 12:22-23 - Righteous men will meet God in Heaven.

• 1 Peter 1:3-5 - Our inheritance from God can never perish, spoil or fade. It is kept in Heaven.

• 2 Peter 3:13 - God will create a  new Heaven and a new Earth. 

• Revelation 5: 9-13 - There are thousands upon thousands and ten thousand times ten thousand angels. They can surround God's throne in Heaven with other living creatures. They worship God in Heaven. 

• Revelation 7: 13-17 - God will keep you safe in Heaven. You wont be hungry or thirsty in Heaven. You will not get hot. God will wipe away your tears.

• Revelation 21:1-4 - Our Heaven and Earth will go away, and we will get a new Heaven and Earth.
  There will be no more death, crying or pain.

• Revelations 21:10-27 - New Jerusalem comes down from Heaven. It shines from God's glory. It will look like a precious jewel.
  It will have high walls with 12 gates.
  There will be 12 angels at the gates.
  Each gate has a name written on it (12 Tribes of Israel).
  There were 3 gates on the East.
  There were 3 gates on the North.
  There were 3 gates on the South.
  There were 3 gates on the West.
  The names of the 12 apostles were written on the bottom of the city.
  The city was like a cube - 1400 miles long, wide and high.
  The wall was made of jasper.
  The city was made of pure gold.
  The bottom of the city was decorated with every beautiful stone/ gem (jasper, sapphire, agate, emerald, onyx, ruby, chrysolite, beryl, topaz, turquoise, jacinth, amethyst).
  Nothing bad will ever enter it.
  Only people whose names are written in God's book of life, will enter Heaven.

• Revelation 22:1-5 -There is a river of life that is clean, that flows out of God's throne. It flows down the street in the city in Heaven.
  The tree of life is standing on each side of the river and the trees grow 12 types of fruit.
  The fruit comes every month.
  Servants will serve God. God's name will be on his servants foreheads. There will be no more night time, the light will not come from the sun, it will come from the Lord.

• Revelations 22:5 - There is no darkness in Heaven.

• Revelations 14:13 - Heaven is a place for rest.

• Revelation 7:15 - Heaven is a place for us to serve the Lord.
