Our curriculum is made up of three integral parts; the
(i) written
(ii) taught
(iii) assessed
The written curriculum Is only one part of learning and our focus is always upon the needs and strengths of each individual child. We firmly believe that your child’s formative years should be among their happiest. This means educating according to the abilities, background and potential of each individual.
This concept is based on the idea that children are better able to learn and learn better when they are happy and feel comfortable. While the image of the world for children is made up of a mosaic of various fragments that they learn to connect with associations.

Being the mother curriculum of Cambridge, and all the native English speaking countries worldwide. It is the gold-standard of comprehensively research-based and progressively scaffolded curriculums.
It is flexible, yet enables rigorous step-by-step developmental progress. Having worked with many curriculums, including IB & Cambridge, we believe the English National Curriculum is by far the most balanced and well designed.
As discussed in Approaches to Learning, we deliver the curriculum, using a combination of methods, to children from Pre-school up to and including age 17; when students can sit for IGCSE Cambridge Examinations; facilitated through the British Council in Jakarta.
Aims 3.1
...provide pupils with an introduction to the essential knowledge that they need to be educated citizens. It introduces pupils to the best that has been thought and said and helps engender an appreciation of human creativity and achievement.
...it is just one element in the education of every child. There is time and space in the school day and in each week, term and year to range beyond the national curriculum specifications. The national curriculum provides an outline of core knowledge around which teachers can develop exciting and stimulating lessons to promote the development of pupils’ knowledge, understanding and skills as part of the wider school curriculum.
A key concept in all of the programs so that each student is set high but achievable expectations relative to their own potential. That means we let them learn at their own pace, but we never hold them back!
ascertain the correct level of the learning materials that need to be given to maximise learning progression and potential
promote member learning through regular feedback
provide feedback for parents about member’s learning
contribute to the successful implementation of the SHM vision and mission
Teachers use a wide range of assessment strategies to collect information on each of the elements represented in the written curriculum: the understanding of concepts, the acquisition of knowledge, the mastering of skills, the development of positive attitudes and the ability to take responsible action.
We use award-winning diagnostic and analytic software to assess the learning throughout the journey. Members are continually being challenged, at their own pace, at a level that is best suited to help them reach their maximum potential.
IGCSE stands for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education. It is a two-year programme leading to externally set, marked and certificated examinations from the University of Cambridge. Any student who takes an IGCSE subject will be gaining a qualification that is recognised globally. They are established qualifications that keep pace with educational developments and trends and so are an ideal foundation for higher level courses such as AS and A Levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
As they progress through the curriculum - building the evidence in personal portfolios with project-based learning - as well as rigorous academic content.
This way members can learn at their own individual pace. By using an Individual Learning Plan, each member is provided with a regular and accurate formative and summative assessment to reflect upon (from teachers). So we can identify and measure the progress that members have made, according to the student-centred learning objectives and goals agreed at the start of each academic year.
Thats why we believe that we provide a truly world-class curriculum for internationally-minded families wanting to create a sustainable and successful future in the 21st C.
