Michelle's mother was always at hand to help her through life and gave her patches and baubles of bluebirds to cheer her up.
So when her mother was going through some troubling times herself and lived with her daughter, Michelle had her neck tattooed with the bluebird prominently so her mother could easily see it every day and be reminded that Michelle is now there for her.

The setup was due to the awkward to photograph position of the tat, so I had Michelle in front of the mirror so her pleasant smile could be seen. It reminded me of the Mona Lisa pose, albeit the opposite view.
