The Following is an in-depth guide for the final chapter for Paper Mario: TTYD.
In the first screen you'll see a staircase. Walk to the back of the first screen when entering the staircase for a stopwatch. From now on, you may encounter Swoopulas or Dry Bones.

They are, once again, stronger versions of Swoops and Dull Bones. Walk towards the screen for a hidden area with a Shooting Star. Walk into the next area and hit the box for a Mr. Softener. At the bottom of the stairs, you'll find some Bombshell Bill Blasters.

Stomp on the bullets until you reach the blasters, where you can use your Shooting Star for excellent damage. You may also encounter Phantom Embers.

They, once again, are stronger versions of Lava Bubbles and the sort. The next hallway features spikes that pop out of the ground when you go near them. Proceed with caution as you go by the spikes. The next hallway has rotating flames that you can pass by using Yoshi or jumping over them. The next set of flames is where Vivian can be helpful. In the next room there will be a pile of blue bones on the ground. interact with it and a bunch of bones will fall from the ceiling. hammer them to make a path to the main Dark Bones.

Spread attacks are useful here, and you may want to put Mario in the back to avoid heavy damage. Get the key and go to the next area, grab the question mark block, it has an Ultra Shroom in it. Navigate the bullets and head down the stairs for a second wave of bullets. The next room has boxes thaat have a P-Up, D-Down P badge and Ice Storms and a Jammin' Jelly. The next room has two levels with many doors. There will be a sequence of these doors and they loop if you don't choose the right one. Always choose the one with the lit torch in front of it. After that, you'll reach a courtyard. In here, you'll encounter Chain Chomps.

Defense piercing moves like Piercing Blow or Gulp will be useful during these fights. One the left and right, there are chain shomp statues that Bobbery can blow up to reveal pipes to the background. which leads to switches that reveal boat panels so you can get to the back tower. Before that, go to the right through the three hallways until you reach a boss fight with Gloomtail

He'll end up powering up during the fight so use Vivian at the right moments. He has a lot of HP, but stylish attacks can help you gain some of that star power back. Grab the star stone once he's defeated and blow up the wall to the right for an Ultra Shroom and a Jammin' Jelly. Now sail to the tower using the boat panels. Go to the top of the tower and place the star stone into the slot. eight keyholes will appear; there is one key in each of the eight rooms across the tower. For the key on the first floor, bottom right, use Flurrie to blow to the right of the sign and reveal a block. Hit it for the first key. Enter the room that's on the first floor, top right. Go straight through the middle of the wall and hit the blue block to reveal a chest with another key. Enter the door to the top left of the first floor. Destroy the first blocks that you can destroy; return to this room later. Now go to the bottom left room on the first floor. Hit the block on the left three times, the one on the right twice. The chest will appear, get the key in it. Go to the second floor and enter the room bottom right. Hide in the shadows using Vivian and the chest with the key will appear. Go to the room on the top right on the second floor. Use Bobbery to destroy the right wall and walk through to get the key. Go to the top left room and destroy all of the blocks you can, return to the previous room and do the same. You can now hit the blue switches on either room to get both of the keys. Finally, Go to the room on the bottom left of the second floor. You have to destroy the enemies in order of least strong to most strong. If you need to get past an enemy without fighting it, you can use Vivian's hide ability and slowly make your way over. The order to defeat them is, Dull Bones (beige with green shoes), Red Bones (pink with red shoes), Dry Bones (White with red shoes), and Dark Bones (blue with purple shoes). Do it correctly to get the key. Now, put all of the keys into the holes on the top floor to lower the path to Gloomtail to a path to the rest of the Palace of Shadows. Exit to the right and the Shadows will stop you and fight you.

You can use art attack as well as your high damage hammer attacks on them. After they are defeated go to the right and down the steps to enter the second major part of the Palace of Shadows. From now on, you may encounter Dark Wizzerds.

They can duplicate themselves where you'll have to figure out which one is real, as well as using status attacks, so be careful. At the end of this area, use Flurrie to blow down the wall. Climb up the ramp and use Yoshi to reach the raised platform. use Koops to time the hit to get passed the wall. On the other side of the steps there's a cape and a doorway. Enter the doorway and go up the steps to reach two arrow platforms. Hit the green one but not the yellow one. GO back right and pass the gap with Yoshi. Go to the right, fall down the hole and bonk the blue switch with Mario's hammer. Jump on the platform as it rises. Go to the right again and hold Koops in spin mode in front of the red arrow block. Drop down onto the large red block and release Koops and walk off to the right in the middle of the rise. Use Yoshi to hover across the gap and head through the door. In this room, Use your jump ability to cross the gaps using the pipes on the ceiling. Walk into the back wall to enter the next room. Go to the left for a shooting star. Throw Bobbery to hit the red switch and bring down a platform. In the area to the left, beat the chain and notice the stars on the wall. Go left and reach an area with a big wooden wheel. Jump on the bottom middle platform and use Yoshi to reach the key. Return to the locked door and go through. Grab the life shroom, roll into a tube, and go up the steps. In this area, hit the boxes in the pattern that the stars were lit up, lit, off, lit, lit, off, lit, off. Return to the wheel which is now spinning. At the top, grab the life shroom, and then go on to the right. Use Flurrie's breath to reveal the stone block, hammer it, and the spin jump through the panel in the floor. Jump on top of the box here for a point swap. Follow the skinny path to a paper airplane space. Fly to the doorway, or fly to the life shroom and then the doorway. Hit the red box in the next area, then use Yoshi to run up the stairs. On the top there's a palace key. Use the spring on the left side to reach the locked door. Unlock the door and then save and heal. You now have to fight Grodus.

Make sure he doesn't have too many Grodus X' around him at one time, as they form a sheild that will make it hard to deal damage. Make use of spread damage. After that, Bowser and Kammy Koopa will come to fight you as well.

Focus on Kammy Koopa first, as she can heal Bowser. After you take them out, enter the hole where Grodus escaped. You'll get a hallway with a heart box, a save box, an ultra shroom, and a jammin' jelly. At the bottom of the stairs, there's the entrance to fight the Shadow Queen. If you die or reset for any reason, a pipe will appear to take you to the beginning of the palace so you can get extra prepared. Next, you'll fight the Shadow Queen

The bottom two stats are for her left and right hands as well as her dead hands. After you deal 75 damage to her, she'll switch to the latter form. She'll be invincible, and you'll need to survive three turns for the story to progress. You also need to try and attack her and not just defend in the switch remake. After that, the crystal stars will get the spirit of everybody you met during your journey to help you. Vivian will be a key partner during this fight, as she can dodge the heaviest attacks. Carefully manage Mario's HP, as some of the queen's attacks are very deadly. Eventually the Shadow Queen falls and congradulations! You saved Rogueport and Princess Peach! After that, everyone is reunited and the party goes back home. Mario is back home safe and sound, unless you want to return to finish any unfinished business.
