Geography Bee

Nearly 70 of our Simonds 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders joined in the 2023 GeoBee Qualifying Round on Wednesday, March 15th during their lunch recess. Written questions included identifying cities, states, and countries based on landmarks as well as knowledge of state nicknames and so much more.  Each one of the Qualifying Round participants will be awarded a Free Dress Day for buzzing by. Congratulations to each of these amazing students for trying their best. Hopeful that from this experience, they continue to grow in their confidence and interest in geography!

And now the top scorers (more than 10 per grade due to tie scores) & qualifying participants in each grade level, in no particular order:

These students will be invited to participate in the Live GeoBee Finals Round on Monday, April 3rd from 2:45-4:45 in the cafeteria (tentatively scheduled).
