TAIWAN ENDOMETRIOSIS SOCIETY ANNUAL MEETING - 2024
We are proud to share that our lab members participated in the 2024 Taiwan Endometriosis Society Annual Meeting, held on December 8th, 2024, at the Regent Hotel, Taipei. This prestigious event featured leading experts in the field, including Prof. Hugh Taylor, Prof. Khaleque Khan, Dr. Hanako Kaseki, Dr. Hikaru Hiraishi, Dr. Mariko Miyashita, and others.
During the conference, our lab member presented a talk on "Pap smear test for women with endometriosis by using ribosome biogenesis markers", showcasing the potency of ribosome biogenesis markers to serve as noninvasive diagnostic indicators for endometriosis via pap smearing test. We also presented a poster entitled "Anti-endometriosis effects of Guizhi Fuling Pill through promoting B cell-to-macrophage trans-differentiation and their phagocytic activity based on a single-cell study", highlighting the novel function of GFP in promoting macrophage differentiation and phagocytosis, particularly through B cell-to-macrophage trans-differentiation, representing a promising therapeutic direction for treating endometriosis. Our contributions were recognized with an award for excellence, highlighting our team's innovative approach and dedication.
5th INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON MECHANOBIOLOGY - 2024
We are delighted to announce our lab's impactful contribution to the 5th International Symposium on Mechanobiology (ISMB), held from November 1st - 3rd 2024 in Tainan. We were also deeply honored that Dr. Jim Jinn-Chyuan Sheu was invited to deliver a distinguished talk at the symposium. His expertise captivated the audience, inspiring meaningful dialogue and new perspectives in the field of mechanobiology.
Our team presented a poster titled "Keratin-fusion Mutation Promotes Tumor Aggressiveness via Genomic Instability Induction". This research sheds light on the pivotal role of keratin intermediate filaments in preserving cellular architecture and providing mechanical support. Our lab members were privileged to engage with leading scientists and attend their presentations.
