The Tampa Bay Lightning have officially announced their roster for the 2026 NHL Development Camp, bringing together 25 young players for a week of on-ice instruction, skill development, and evaluation at the TGH Ice Plex.
The roster features 15 forwards, six defensemen, and four goaltenders, headlined by the organization’s most recent first-round selection, Sam O’Reilly, acquired from the Edmonton Oilers, along with promising defense prospect Tomas Kralovic and 2026 second-round pick Oleg Kulebyakin.
Development camp provides the Lightning’s hockey operations staff their first opportunity to work closely with many of the organization’s newest draft picks, while also giving returning prospects another chance to showcase their growth ahead of rookie camp and the 2026-27 season.
Among the forwards, O’Reilly headlines an impressive group that also includes recent draft selections Ethan Czata, Aiden Foster, Marco Mignosa, and Morgan Anderberg. Returning prospects Jayson Shaugabay, Connor Kurth, and Klavs Veinbergs will look to continue building on strong developmental seasons, while invitees Carlin Dezainde and Jacob Mathieu have an opportunity to earn additional attention within the organization.
On the blue line, Tomas Kralovic leads a defensive corps that includes Everett Baldwin, Jan Golicic, Warren Clark, Grant Spada, and Max Vilen. The group features a combination of puck-moving ability, physicality, and international experience that should make for competitive camp sessions.
In goal, the Lightning will evaluate Caleb Heil, Harrison Meneghin, Stepan Shurygin, and invitee Danick Leroux. The four-goalie rotation is expected to provide plenty of opportunities during scrimmages and specialized goalie development sessions throughout the week.
Several of the organization’s newest draft picks will be making their first appearance in Lightning colors, giving fans an early glimpse at the future of the franchise. Development camp has historically served as an important first step in the transition from amateur hockey to the professional ranks, emphasizing skating, skills, strength and conditioning, and the expectations of playing within the Lightning organization.
With a healthy blend of recent draft selections, returning prospects, and undrafted invitees looking to earn contracts, this year’s camp promises to offer one of the organization’s deepest prospect groups in recent memory.
