The design is made on Vcarve pro
Once the design is made, it is exported to RDworks were the layers for cut and scan are made, and the speeds and power is set
This design was scanned and cut on plywood. The settings on the laser to scan plywood are a power of 30 and a speed of 350 mm/s. To cut plywood the settings need to be a power of 50 and a speed of 25mm/s.
The finish product has a little smokiness to it as the smoke from the laser burned some parts of the wood. This can be avoided using masking tape so that it'll burn the tape but not the wood.

The design was then transferred to RDworks to set the cut and scan layers as well as speed and power
The material being cut is acrylic. The lasers settings include a power of 50 and a speed of 350 mm/s to scan they acrylic (engrave). To cut the acrylic it is a power of 50 and a speed of 15mm/s. To cut the acrylic the speed needs to be much slower.
The final product is an earring organizer. The 12 holes in the top allow for 6 pairs of earrings to be organized. It the perfect size to be put in a travel toilerty bag. This product allows earrings to stay organized and prevents loosing them, while also being quite cute.
This was created on MakerCase. The inputted dimensions were 100mm width and height, and a 50mm depth. The thickness was 3mm. The plans were then downloaded and put on RDworks.
Once on RD works the cut settings were made and then downloaded to a hard drive.
This cut was made on cardboard. The settings for a cut on cardboard are 60 speed and 80 power.
