Have I shown a deepening in understanding of my Inquiry? 

In the student example below, Yelim 2023, started with a more "shallow" visual representation of her relationship with her sisters. We see a growth and deepening in understanding of her inquiry in her later works. These later pieces explore the deep symbolic connections she shares with her family. 

Does your body of work show growth and deepening in understanding of your inquiry? If not, this may be an area to focus on for P7/P8.

Ask yourself, What is your WHY?

Have you shown strong exploration and experimentation guided by your inquiry? 

This is NOT just experimentation for the sake of experimenting. Instead this should be experimenting to deepen your understanding of your inquiry. There are infinite ways to experiment within your SI. Below I have attached a few unique takes on art-making that may inspire you in your own work. 

Ask yourself, Have I tried something NEW in my work that helps deepen my own, and my viewers understanding of my message?

Does your body of work have a sense of artistic style? Could someone put your pieces together without knowing who the artist was?

Ask yourself, Do my pieces work together to create a unified and cohesive SI through the use of Materials, Process, and the Ideas used?

Reflect on your body of work for your SI. Sometimes an artwork or 2 that is less experimental and is simply a visually strong piece is needed to round out our SI submission. 

Ask yourself, Have I shown off the best of the best technical skill I am capable of?
