About Us

The Shaggy39 Studio is Rocco (a.k.a. Shaggy39)'s indie studio. We work on anything from comics and animations, to utilities, apps, and operating systems, but primarily develop and release digital games of all types and genres.

What the studio is and aims to accomplish isn't easily said in words, it's a community, an organization, a movement, an art form, a way of life if you're so inclined. It's the embodiment of lifelong passions to create great games, tell amazing, funny, emotional stories, express ideas, challenge norms, share what keeps us going, create worlds of rich detail and never ending exploration, empower others, or make whatever other idea someone came up with at the lunch table a reality. EVERY Shaggy39 Studio project\title is made with love and care, and we do it for you, the user, the player, the reader, the consumer, the enjoyer.

While most of the projects by The Shaggy39 Studio are made entirely by Shaggy39 (some with the help of other individuals, groups, or third-party tools and resources), everything is better together. Every project can have it’s own set of project members, and these are the developers (programmers\coders, artists, writers, designers, actors, and many other talented people), QA testers, project managers, or even collaborators (other independent developers, companies, or organizations) that signed up to work on that specific project, or many at a time! While we don't exactly have employees, we're typically accepting applications for certain projects and everyone who gets involved gets some sort of perk. Projects\titles can even have contributors (fan and\or one-time asset supplies and\or help), all with the intention to make things the best they can be, so let us know if you think you'd be a good fit (you'll even get a role in our community Discord server)!

Developers\project members, and collaborators who work with us on a Shaggy39 Studio project\title (including Shaggy39 Studio collaborations) have the option to select their own public "pen name", seen in the project's credits and any other material they create surrounding the project. This could be their own existing brand, or a nickname they'll be addressed and sign their own messages by, should they choose to pick one. Furthermore, teasers, trailers, and any other videos made for said Shaggy39 Studio collaborations and\or projects\titles are recommended to reside on the creator's own Youtube channel, so links to them show the proper credit.

Collaborations and\or contributions can also be on non-Shaggy39 Studio projects\titles, where we help YOU out! We're also typically open to offer early access to some of our apps, utilities, tools, and\or assets, consult, test, or help however needed. Though we do a little of everything, we mainly love making systems, setting up groundwork and pipelines, and even expanding or improving existing systems! We aim to be flexible in our workflows and able to adapt to whatever a project needs while staying true to our standards and values.
