Searching

  • Sew Help Me app has extensive search options. There are filter toggle buttons to limit the items displayed in lists. Often this is all that is needed. Having filtered the list, the quick search bar will further refine the list according to your search entry. Separate words with spaces (not commas!) when entering more than one search term.

  • If this fails to narrow the list sufficiently, then there is the Custom Search option which allows for more detailed searching. The CustomSearches can be saved for future re-use. When using Custom search, if the search name is completed the search is automatically saved when executed. If the name field is left blank, the search will not be saved when executed.

  • There is a sort order button to select your preferred list order. This is remembered by the app so only needs setting once. Of course you can change it whenever you like!

  • Photo Grid layout for iPads and larger iPhones in landscape. Each image in the grid is clickable to go to the detail view for the selected fabric/pattern/project.

  • In Fabrics "My Stash" there is a Min. Length slider to select fabrics over a chosen length. This setting is also retained between sessions. The idea is that oftentimes you may have 0.25m/yd or 0.5m/yd left over which is no use for most garments and thus can generally be left off the display. However, for smaller craft items (e.g. pincushions/pencil cases etc.) these smaller remnants may be useful so you can still find them by altering the Min. Length slider, (or using Custom Search). The Custom Search overrides any Min. Length Slider setting, until the List is refreshed. The Minimum Length setting only applies to "MyStash" fabrics. It is disabled when looking at "Used" Fabrics as 'Used' fabrics have their length set to zero by default.

  • With all these options, you will never lose a pattern, fabric or project again !
