Beans on toast (always read the label)
Beans on toast (always read the label)
'Beans on toast (always read the label)' was designed to illustrate that our food has to be grown, and isn’t just as we see it packaged in the supermarket. The painting exhibits the raw ingredients of a well-known meal, beans on toast. Lurking in the background are two added ingredients that we may not expect – sugar and salt.
Reading food labels allows us to make healthier choices which could prevent us from developing type 2 diabetes.
