While there is no record it is believed that Beerwah station first opened in 1890 when the section of the North Coast Line from Caboolture to Landsborough opened. Due to white ant damage to the station building the station underwent a major face lift with the construction of a new station office and new waiting shelters.
Beerwah serves the hononymous town of Beerwah. It is believed that the name comes from an Aboriginal mother in a legend told about the Glass House Mountains.
The station itself has two platforms consisting of two side platforms. Platform one is for services to Nambour and Gympie North while platform two is for services towards Caboolture, Roma Street and Ipswich.
Beerwah station only has two station entrances from Simpson Street and Beerwah Parade
Beerwah station does have disability access.
There is a bus stop outside the station on the Beerwah Parade side. It is served by the 649 Caboolture to Nambour railbus which supplements the train timetable. There is also a courtesy coach conveying passengers to and from Australia Zoo.
