While there is no record it is believed that Beerburrum station first opened in 1890 when the section of the North Coast Line from Caboolture to Landsborough opened. On 28 April 1988, the line was electrified between Caboolture and Nambour. On 14 April 2009, a new station opened as a result of the Caboolture to Beerburrum duplication project.
Beerburrum serves the homonymous town of Beerburrum. It is believed that the name comes from the word ‘Bir-barram’ from the local indigenous tribe ‘Kabi Kabi’ meaning ‘sound of wings of the King Parrot’.
The station itself has two platforms consisting of two side platforms. Platform 1 is for services to Nambour and Gympie North while platform 2 is for services towards Caboolture, Roma Street and Ipswich.
Beerburrum station only has one station entrance at the carpark on Church Street.
Beerburrum station does have disability access.
There is a bus stop outside the station in the carpark on Church Street. It is served by the 649 Caboolture to Nambour railbus which supplements the train timetable.
