Register for June 22-24: Voices Made Visible - Creating Space for Our Stories in New Harmony
Often when we are on retreat, we find that we are sharing products and services that help us embrace the themes of the retreat, so we chose to become Amazon Associates. If you click on the links provided on this page, it may benefit Seeking Sabbath Retreats.
One of the many activities that we share on retreat and one of the suggestions that is often made on retreat is to journal. This hard cover notebook has over 300 pages of thick lined paper, a strap to hold the pages together and a pen holder.

On a recent retreat, I brought one of my weighted blankets, and everyone enjoyed snuggling under it. We have a whole collection of them in our home after my son's therapist suggested one years ago.

Another favorite product that retreatants were eager to use on a recent retreat was the acupressure mat that I use every day when I meditate. While it does take some getting used to, I enjoy laying on it each morning.

As part of our retreat theme, I will often compose an Insight Timer playlist and share it. One suggestion I make is to use this headband headphones that are easy to sleep in. I have been using them for years as part of my sleep hygiene.

Another part of my sleep routine is wearing this weighted sleep mask. It totally blocks out light and the weight is an added bonus.

Prioritizing rest is a common conversation on retreat, and there are some great products out there that can help us to do that. One product that I have recommended quite a bit and that our family uses is these grouding sheets that are shown to improve sleep and reduce inflammation.

There are a couple of pillows that have been a great addition to our bedroom, and the first is this copper-infused pillow.

When I am struggling with neck pain, I have found relief with this pillow, and I know a few friends who have used it on my recommendation are impressed by how much it has helped them too.

No great pillow would be complete without a luxurious silk pillowcase to protect your hair and skin and give you an extra plush sleep experience.

I love the glow of Christmas lights in my room, but sometimes they're too bright. Then I discovered this Himalayan sea salt lamp, which is supposed to have calming properties beyond its soothing warm light (which is adjustable).

I've gone through quite a few essential oil diffusers, but this one has been my favorite: It diffuses the oil and can also create a fire-like flame and glow that is very soothing.

Finding rhythms and routines that fit into our schedules are great ways to create space for ourselves in our day. The following products are things I use each morning to start my day, and they are truly some of my favorite things.
One of the first things I do each morning is to hydrate, and I keep a bottle next to my bed to make it easy to do right away as I get out of bed.

As part of my practice of embodiment, I use a roller all over as I get up in the morning. I find that it really "wakes up" my skin and muscles and relieves any overnight aches.

I am a fan of soft, cozy blankets, but I'm an even bigger fan of soft, cozy blankets that I can wear. I found this a few years ago and it is a staple of my morning wardrobe year-round.

I really like candles, but I absolutely LOVE Woodwick candles for the multisensory experience: They smell wonderful and shine beautifully but they also crackle and make you feel like you're sitting alongside a fireplace. So cozy! My favorite scent is Fireside, but there are many others to choose from.

While I have never been a coffee drinker, I love a good cup of hot tea, and my friend introduced me to Harney and Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice years ago, and I'm spoiled for any other kind of tea! All of their teas are wonderful, but I look forward each day to my warm cup of spicy, sweet tea that instantly calms me and warms me from the inside out.

The only way I drink my first cup of tea in the morning is in my beautiful 16 ounce infuser mug with a lid. I have the robin's egg blue, and it always brightens my day.

I couldn't enjoy my tea-making ritual each morning without my lovely little tea kettle, which I use every day to heat up the water for steeping my tea.

With the calming crackle of my Fireside candle, I don't like a lot of extra light in the morning, so I use this neck lamp. Also great for reading at night while traveling in the car or in bed at night, I have found this a great addition to my reading bag.

I am not always as self-disciplined as I would like to be, so I have found that this Habit Tracker has been a great tool to help me be aware of the habits that I want to cultivate and notice my progress. I spend just a minute each day checking in and marking in it to see where I could use more focus and where I'm making strides.

Some really great products for the bath can go a long way towards rejuvenation. Here are some of the things that we enjoy in our own bath.
These Japanese exfoliating gloves are a wonder at leaving your skin feeling fresh and soft.

I am particular when it comes to lip balm, but I discovered these a few years ago and carry them with me everywhere: There is one in my purse, a few in my car, one hanging from my keychain, one on my desk, a few in my bathroom. I don't go anywhere without this lip balm.

New Harmony, Indiana, is a second home for retreats. I love so many things about the quaint little town, but one of my favorite shops is New Harmony Soaps. I use their body wash every time I shower, and their after-shower mist is amazing! I also love their probioitic lotion and roll-on. My favorite scent is Zen, but they have so many different scents to choose from, including seasonal ones. You can order online here.
When on retreat, the key is comfort, and these are some clothing items that have become favorites for comfort.
I never thought compression leggings could be comfortable, but when a knee injury had me researching ways to alleviate the discomfort, I discovered these leggings and have come to love them. They are a wardrobe staple!

Another wardrobe item that I never would have discovered if not for my knee injury is these barefoot shoes. I love the fun color but also the feel of them.
