Southeast Asian Student Exchange Program
Southeast Asian Student Exchange Program
The "Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia," also known as the "SEA Teacher Project," is an initiative that aims to give pre-service student teachers from Southeast Asian institutions the chance to complete a practicum in teaching in other Southeast Asian nations.
"Revitalizing Teacher Education" is one of the key areas in developing and bolstering the capacity of teachers in the region, according to the SEAMEO seven priority areas for the eleven SEAMEO Member nations to collaborate on improving the quality of education in Southeast Asia.
Students in their fourth year majoring in math, science, English, or preschool are the ideal candidates for the exchange. The period is one month, and the cost-sharing system will be used. Throughout the month, students are given weekly assignments to observe, help with teaching, teach, and reflect. Furthermore, mentors will be provided by the host universities to oversee and supervise the students during the practicum.
