Strike System

- Scorched Paws will work with a 3 strike system, where 3 strikes will result in being removed from the server. Different offenses will have different weight when it comes to these strikes and staff members will act accordingly on a case-by-case basis.

• Something like making a NSFW joke or forgetting to properly spoil something in the content warning list will warrant a warning reminder from staff instead of a strike right away. If situations like these are seen to be repeated multiple times after being warned (usually 3 times), the user will get a strike.

• Some offenses may lead to an immediate strike or more. We are a no bigotry zone and as such that kind of behavior is not tolerated under any circumstance with no right to strikes - you will be banned immediately.

- As a team, we strive for 100% transparency. This means no member of the server will receive a warning, strike or kick/ban without clear reason as to why using a private ticket If you believe you didn't get a proper reason, please let us know and we'll be happy to elaborate at any point.

• If ever a member should be banned we will do our best to adequately explain the situation to the server without going into detail for the sake of any other parties involved.

No Place for Hate

- As stated before, Scorched Paws has 0 tolerance for bigotry. Our server strives to be a safe environment for all folks of the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals with disabilities and BIPOC folks and any other marginalized identities. This means no form of racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, sexism and other forms of bigotry are strictly forbidden both OOC and IC and will lead to immediate ban without chance of return.

• The usage of any and all slurs is not allowed in the server.

  • Queer is not considered a slur as many people have claimed the term to identify to themselves and can be used freely in our server.

- If you happen to have any issues with a member of the server (or staff), please make a ticket so we can help all parties involved to reach a resolution. No situation is an inconvenience, it’s our job as the people running this space to be there for everyone in it and we wish to be as helpful as we can.

• In case you have a problem with a specific staff member, you’re free to DM a different staff member to reach out about it if it makes you more comfortable and we’ll do our best to help.

Common Courtesy

- This roleplay is a place we can all take a break from our daily lives and have some fun together as silly little cats and because of that we ask that venting and/or ranting related to irl issues be kept to a minimum. This will warrant a warning or strike after repeated instances.

- We ask that no messages be sent to the server if you happen to be under the influence of alcohol and/or other substances, regardless of being an 18+ server. This is for the comfort of everyone on the server and will warrant a strike.

- Respect and kindness should always come first. We ask that all OOC chat helps include everyone in the conversation, which means we ask everyone to always give context and explain topics when chatting if you believe some people may not understand it either for lack of context or for arriving in the middle of the conversation. Adding a “context: XYZ” after messages you believe might need it is highly encouraged!

• Because of this, we ask that OOC talk about characters and/or stories from other roleplay servers be kept to the bare minimum, as not everyone might share that server and it might result in folks being left out.

• Additionally, we ask folks to be mindful that there are people they may not have met before in the server. While you may have a long time friend who is comfortable with certain jokes, even if harmless, please remember not everyone may feel the same.

- Advertisement of commissions, adopts/designs and other forms of art are all welcome and can go in their dedicated channel! Advertisement of other RP servers is also allowed but only with explicit permission of a staff member. This is to ensure RPs advertised in our server also advocate for the safety of its members. Make a ticket to show us your RP server and we'll let you know!
