The Scienz Society’s fourth discussion was held by one of the Core members, Hinata. The initial question that provoked the discussion was “Ageing: can we slow it down or reverse it?” It started with a brief introduction by Kirsten, the head of the society, followed by an informative video that gave attendees basic facts and many great insights, which led to a presentation that uncovered details about ageing factors and anti-ageing agents. Each slide of the presentation allowed discussion among participants, encouraging participants to ask questions to each other as the discussion progressed. Points raised and discussed, to name a few, were the function of telomeres, the role of anti-ageing skincare and the ethic of involving science in the ageing process.
