Teams discovered birds in their area and then chose two of them to collect information. They used a common Canva where they presented a picture of the bird, the bird name and a QR code, which lead to a poster showing details such as bird name, size, color, living place, food, body parts, reproduction process, dangers, possible celebration date.
The teams proposed one bird movement to add to the dice (drawings of students with relevant dots on each side) and then they met online to play. The meeting was held on 16/04/2024 at 10:00 CET through ZOOM, where the students represented their national bird moves.
Partners created a common brainstorming about the things they know about swallows.
Each team read a story outside about swallows to celebrate International Children's Book Day.
Each team created swallows using waste materials and presented them in an Art Gallery.
Students learned a song about swallows related to their tradition and created a video singing it outdoors.
Each team created a swallow like in the instructions (page 6) and said “swallow” in different languages making an Interactive Swallows Dictionary.
Students found swallows' nests and took a picture. They learned how swallows build their nests.
Because of climate change, swallows can’t find mold to build their nests. Students helped them to make one with natural clay.
Students presented the stories of swallows in short videos, using the swallow that they made at activity number 7.
